So 2023 has not been the best summer here in the UK. And if you’re eyeing up holidays to get a blast of sunshine before its too late, you might be interested in some beach party vibes.
Partying on a beach is obviously lots of fun, and a great way to let your hair down in the summer. But if you want a beach party destination, you’re actually spoiled for choice. We’re gonna look at where to head for a great beach party holiday so you can finally feel like you had a summer!

What is a beach party destination?
A beach party holiday destination is basically somewhere, often by the beach (but can also be poolside) where you can party in the sun. This usually means big tunes, delicious cocktails, sexy people and… SUNSHINE!
Our criteria for the best beach party destinations means there will need to be beach bars where you can party in your swimwear. After all that’s what makes a beach party, right?
While most of our beach party destinations are in Europe, we’ll also suggest a few longer haul destinations for you adventurous souls.
Alright then. Where should you be booking a ticket and packing those swimmers for right now then?
Ibiza, Spain
Perhaps the most famous beach party destination in the world, Ibiza needs no introduction. The White Isle is home to many great beach bars including O Beach Ibiza, Nikki Beach and Cafe Del Mar – among many others.
And of course when in Ibiza, you can party from the beach to the boat party, into the night, and then do it all again tomorrow.
So when are you booking your ticket?
Barcelona, Spain
Staying in Spain, another epic spot for a sexy beach party is Barcelona. Barceloneta Beach is lined with fabulous beach bars, and the party pretty much starts from the morning until the sunset. While strutting around Barcelona isn’t necessarily the done thing, you can rock your swimwear with style along the seafront to your hearts content.
Barcelona is also a fun beach city, with a lot going on after dark. Bring your party A-game if you’re looking to get down in Barcelona.
Tel Aviv, Israel
The Israeli beach city has gained a reputation as an incredible place to party, with the city sprawling along the Med. There are lots of beach bars you can hang out and strut in, and the Israelis are a fun loving bunch, so get ready for a lot of people wanting to party with you.
As a beach party destination, it’s not exactly gonna be banging tunes on while you dance on the sand. But places like Gordon Beach and Banana Beach offer ample spots to grab a cocktail and get cheeky with the locals. But it’s the nightlife where you’ll get to shine!
Cascais, Portugal
This trendy Portuguese surf town has become a bit of a cool beach hang out in recent years. And, in fact, its also pretty poppin’ as a beach party hub. During the day, sun yourself on the beach and sup a cold one at the beach bars lining the sand – while getting down to the big tunes playing.
But the day is just a prelude to a big night in this town. Cascais is very much where the cool crowd in the know go for some sundown party action. And being just a stones throw from buzzing Lisbon, you can combine a beach party break with a city break too…
Mykonos, Greece
Greece isn’t short of fab beach party destinations, and Mykonos is probably one of the biggest. This Insta influencer favourite is packed full of seriously sexy beach bars, with sunset views, pumping tunes and drinks aplenty.
If you’re wondering where to flaunt your new pool party bikini, or gym honed bod, then consider checking out Tropicana Beach Club, SantAnna and Paradise Beach Club.
Corfu, Greece
Yes, Greece turns up another party spot, this time in crazy Corfu. There are obviously lots of options for beach party vibes in Corfu, but if you’re looking for a dead cert, try Wave Beach Bar or Tiera del Fuego in the north of Corfu near Achavari.
Pretty much every major resort in Corfu has a banging beach bar though, so wherever you find your Corfu packages you’ll be able to follow the sounds of tunes on the beach.
Ayia Napa, Cyprus
The Ibiza of the eastern Mediterranean, Ayia Napa is definitely a great spot for a beach party. And they do get wild around here. Nissi Beach is one of the hedonistic beaches probably in the Med, and there are beach parties daily in the summer.
Pambos is the wild pool party where your Insta famous celebs wanna be seen, so make sure to get your most glam swimwear on. You can also book at stay at the Pambos Napa Rocks hotel, if you wanna be close to the action.
But there is plenty of on-beach action, beach bars, festivals and party galore during the summer months in Ayia Napa.
